I don't know if she can speak English herself, but from the pronunciation in the songs, she is quite capable. Another fact that might interest you would be her love for covering English oldies hits. I'd say if you have difficulties with droning ballads, she might not be for you. To describe her voice would be somewhere between droning and calming.
